It’s Mid-Autumn Festival! A time to gather, give thanks, and enjoy the beauty of autumn! 🍂
To celebrate, we’re showcasing Li Jian’s “Landscape in the Six Dynasties Style”—a colourful autumn scene painted with rich ink, mineral pigments, and touches of gold. 🍁✨ Don’t miss the vivid red leaves and scholar’s robe, and admire the distant mountains painted with the ancient ‘boneless’ technique (mogu).
Fun fact: The inscription on this work includes the name "Village of Red Flowers," a real village near Foshan not far from Guangzhou, where it was likely painted! 🏡🌸
From all of us at UMAG, we wish you good fortune, good health, and a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival. 🌕
